Wine by Farr is The Real Review Winery of the Year Australia 2022. It heads the Top Wineries of Australia 2022 list, published today.
Wine classifications are as old as the hills—the 1855 Bordeaux Classification is the most famous while Hungary’s Tokaji vineyard classification of 1700 was among the earliest formal ones, but even the ancient Romans had a sort of hierarchy of their wines. The Real Review has decided it’s time Australia and New Zealand had their own impartial, quality-based classification.
The Real Review set the bar at an affordable $25 and invited winemakers to submit wines within that price category for Top Value Wines of New Zealand 2021.
Every year at this time, The Real Review focuses on tasting the Top Value Wines of Australia. These are the best value for money wines up to a limit of $25 a bottle.
In June this year, The Real Review invited England’s wineries to submit their wines for blind tasting for a chance to be one of the Top Wineries of Great Britain 2021.
