Cherries and herbs

Ravensworth Wines Sangiovese 2022, Canberra District, AUD $32

This is the 20th year of Bryan Martin making sangiovese at Ravensworth.

Medium ruby red colour. Red cherry, dry clay and amaro herbs on the nose. Medium in weight, bone dry with fine granular tannins tightening the red cherry fruit so it drives with focus. Layers of dry earth and hints of woody herbs add character through the line and it runs very long. Will be most suited to serving with food to make the most of that tannin frame. (Screwcap)
