Rich and chocolaty

Gomersal Wines Shiraz 2016, Barossa Valley, AUD $20

The Coles Liquor group seems to have commandeered this winery’s output. It’s terrific value: deep, young red/purple colour leads into a rich bouquet of plums and chocolate, the palate concentrated and deep with earthy, coal-dusty dark fruit flavours and more character than you’d normally expect for 20 bucks.
