Stylish and supple

Mount Langi Ghiran Vineyards Cliff Edge Shiraz 2016, Grampians, AUD $33

This wine is a bit chameleon-like. At first, it is very shy, and quite plain, with reserved fruit and some herbal elements poking through. But then it blooms into a magnificent wine, laden with supple, stylish, dark cherry fruit with hints of licorice, with the green aspects providing freshness and balance. It is a captivating wine, which makes you think, and it gets better and better the longer it is open. (Screwcap)
