Wine of the Week NZ

Takapoto Estate Bannockburn Pinot Noir 2012, Central Otago, NZD $75

This first release from a new producer hit the ground running by winning a trophy at the International Wine & Spirit Competition in the UK. It’s a supremely elegant and seamless pinot noir with plum, dark cherry, spice and anise flavours underpinned by a subtle dried herb and savoury character and supported by smoky oak. An impressive wine. (Screwcap)
