Wine of the Week NZ

Clearview Endeavour Chardonnay 2015, Hawke’s Bay, NZD $175

Made from grapes picked from 28-year-old Mendoza clone vines. Big, rich and creamy chardonnay with masses of peach, grapefruit, brioche, hazelnut, a suggestion of oyster shell and a solid influence of nutty oak. Clearview’s Reserve Chardonnay is an intense and complex wine, but this flagship label goes a step further. It’s a weighty, textural wine with a good thread of acidity which maintains freshness and energy. (Diam)
