Wine of the Week AU

Whicher Ridge Elevage Sauvignon Blanc 2016, Geographe, AUD $28

This is an uncannily Loire-like sauvignon from the accomplished Cathy Howard, full of mineral, gunsmoke and flinty aromas as well as some varietal passionfruit, the palate racy, crisp and invigorating. Delicious wine. 20% barrel fermented and aged a year on lees. (Screwcap)
