Wine of the Week AU

Château Thivin Côte de Brouilly Les Sept Vignes 2016, Beaujolais, AUD $47

Wow! This is about as good as it gets in Beaujolais. 2016 was evidently a great year. The colour is profound, the bouquet opulently ripe, plums and a hint of herby foresty whole-bunch character. The wine is all-round very ripe, big and lush. Abundant supple tannins and considerable power. Impressive. (Cork)
