Two events worthy of your consideration, one promises to be a heaven for cheese-lovers (aren’t we all?) and the other a heavenly pinot noir event. What would life be without pinot and cheese?

Bon Fromage is a three-day festival of European cheeses at Carriageworks, Eveleigh, Sydney, from October 13 to 15.

This event is free to enter, and there will be over half a tonne of cheese for punters to eat, free of charge. Cheese will also be available for purchase. The festival is expected to attract more than 6,000 people across the weekend. There will be a series of masterclasses and demonstrations from some of Sydney’s top cheese purveyors. The festival is presented by the Centre National Interprofessionel de l’Economie Laitière, with the support of the European Union.

And to wash it all down? The festival is working directly with a handful of small wineries in Italy and France. There will be French pinot noir from Fat Bastard, Italian prosecco from Bandini, Italian pinot grigio from Aquilani, and Côtes de Provence rosé from Rameau d’Or.

Pinot Palooza, one of the most successful wine events of recent times, is touring the country at present. Hundreds of pinot noirs to taste, an extensive and varied food menu, craft beers and more.

Both are AUD $65 for general admission. Tickets available here.
