Wine of the Week NZ

Craggy Range Te Muna Vineyard Pinot Noir 2015, Martinborough, NZD $39.95

Absolutely delicious pinot noir, with lifted red and black berry fruits together with an appealing floral and rose petal influence. A concentrated but supple wine in a high energy style and with an appealingly smooth texture. Quite complex with a lengthy finish. (Screwcap)

A very nice wine indeed. I tried the 2010 vintage and thereafter bought a few to cellar. My friend who I shared the ’10 with was also impressed and upon revealing (I served it blind) told me that he had the ’09 in his cellar and perhaps gave it a slight edge. He also bought the ’10 for his cellar.
