Mahi Pinot Gris 2016, Marlborough, NZD $19

Made from organic grapes grown in a single vineyard in the Awatere Valley. A portion of the wine was barrel-fermented. Dry and quite flavoursome pinot gris with good weight and a reasonably smooth texture. It shows typical pear and apple varietal flavours with a subtle spice and anise character. Good value at this price.
