Vivacious viognier

Lark-Hill-Viognier-2015Lark Hill Viognier, Canberra District 2015 AUD $25

The colour is light to medium yellow and the bouquet is very appealing: clean and fragrant with notes of honey, spices and citrus fruits. It’s juicy, intense and long in the mouth, a delicious and seductive wine. (Screw cap; 11.5 per cent alcohol.)

Just a little note here in support of viognier. In 2014 I went to a Villa Maria sale at the winery in Auckland and bought a 6 pack of their 2007 reserve viognier (I think marlborough).

It was gorgeous, one of the best NZ whites I have ever tasted. I have not seen their reserve since but I’m looking for similar!
