Mitchell Sevenhill Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, Clare Valley 2008, $28
The colour is still youthful; the bouquet showing red fruit with herb and aniseed overtones, plus a hint of garden mint. It’s very intense and concentrated in the mouth, elegant and long with satisfying firm tannins. Great value. Its age is a bonus. (13.5 per cent alcohol; screw cap.)
