Pemberley Sauvignon Blanc, Pemberton 2014 $25
The aromas recall fresh salad leaves, grass and herbs with some background nuttiness, and this is reflected also on the palate where it’s richer than most, thanks to a subtle hint of barrel ferment. Full in the mouth, with a very long-lasting finish, it’s varietal, ripe and intense. An impressive wine and great value. (Screw cap; 13 per cent alcohol.) Score 93 ★★★★½ – view on huonhooke.com
