Wine Of The Week

Burn Cottage 2013 Pinot Noir, Central Otago $60

Burn Cottage’s fifth vintage reveals their strength and consistency. They got off to a flying start with an immensely seductive 2009 and have maintained a string of gold medal wines ever since. While lacking the flamboyant fruit and silkiness of the 2009 vintage this beautifully constructed wine gets a tick in every box. It is seamless, concentrated and teasingly restrained giving just a glimpse of what it will have to offer after bottle development. Classy wine with a great future.
