Wine Of The Week
Domaine du Tariquet Classic, Cotes de Gascogne 2013 $19
Made mainly from ugni blanc and colombard grown in Armagnac country, this delicious little dry white is a great bargain. Light straw yellow hue and a fulsome, spicy aroma which suggests honey and minerals. It’s delicate and fine yet also soft and rich in the mouth, with a winning combination of finesse and generosity. The finish is refreshing with clean acidity. (Screwcap; 10.5 per cent alcohol). Score: 95 ★★★★★ – view on Huonhooke.com
