Wine Of The Week

Te Mata 2013 Coleraine, Hawke’s Bay $99

A poor vintage in 2012 meant that Coleraine didn’t make the cut for the first time in 20 years. This vintage more than makes up for its absence. An intense, powerful wine with obvious cellaring potential. Initially the wine is hard to read but layers of dark berry, cedar, spice and savoury characters are displayed on its considerably lengthy finish. This is the best vintage of Coleraine I can recall tasting. 98/100 ★★★★★ – View on BobCampbell.nz
