Mouton Cadet Le Rosé de Mouton Cadet, Bordeaux 2012 $13 Value: very good

An attractively fruity style of rosé at a very quaffable price. It’s medium-full salmon pink with youthful tinges, and a strawberry, herbal and slightly leafy aroma; clean and pretty. It’s soft and dry in the mouth, with good flavour depth and dimension, finishing with some tannin grip. A good food style. Best within a year or two. 12.5 per cent alcohol. 88/100 – Huon’s Wine 360

Food: tandoori lamb cutlets
