Under $20

Tudor Pinot Noir, Yarra Valley 2013 $13 Value: excellent

Striking value. The colour is deep red-purple and it smells fresh and perhaps a little uni-dimensional, but full of fruit and over-delivering in a big way. Light to medium-weight, bright, with fresh acidity which adds to its firmness. A well-made red at a price that’s in no-man’s-land for drinkable pinot. Now to three years. 13 per cent alcohol. 86/100 – Huon’s Wine 360

Food: grilled lamb fillet

Stockists: all Aldi stores that sell liquor
