Sam Hughes benefit and wine auction this Sunday

The Sam Hughes benefit and wine auction is definitely on – this Sunday October 13 at the new Vincent restaurant, Hughenden Hotel, 14 Queen St, Woollahra, starting at 3.30pm.

The live auction (by Andrew Caillard MW) of Sam’s private cellar comprises 34 lots of just under 200 bottles, all of it fine quality, mostly imported, much of it the kind of wine Sam promoted (low-manipulation, sustainably grown and made).

Advance bids can be placed up till 3.30pm Sunday with David Hughes on jodavid@bigpond.net.au.

There will be a $50 cover charge/donation. Food is provided. All proceeds net of Vincent’s costs will go to a family trust to benefit Sam’s two young daughters.

Guests are invited to bring a couple of bottles: something to drink and something for a silent-bid auction.
