Something different

Torbreck The Steading Blanc, Barossa Valley 2012 $39

This marsanne, viognier, roussanne blend is partner to the famous Steading red. The colour is medium yellow; the rich bouquet is loaded with spice and floral scents together with yeast-lees characters and nutty echoes of barrel fermentation. It’s soft, dry, balanced and quite delicious. Best now till 2016. 14.5 per cent alcohol. 92/100 (Huon’s Wine 360)

Food: grilled chicken kebabs
