Dalrymple Pinot Noir, Tasmania 2011 $36

Dalrymple makes a lighter-bodied, refined style of pinot. This opens with a reductive pong and a background of faded flowers and strawberry. It’s quite complex and smooth, with good balance and textural appeal. An interesting wine and a good drink. Decant it first. Best now to 2019. 13.5 per cent alcohol. 89/100 (Huon’s Wine 360)

Food: seared tuna steaks
