Caroline and Katherine Brown, of Brown Sisters (oops, Brown Brothers) at the Night Noodle Market in Sydney’s Hyde Park last night, celebrating the two gold medals of Brown Brothers’ sparkling wines at the Royal Adelaide Wine Show. The Patricia 2006 (my tasting notes) was pipped for the trophy by its little sister, the non-vintage Brown Brothers sparkling pinot chardonnay. Coincidentally, we were drinking the superb ‘06 Patricia (from plastic glasses!) as the awards were being announced in Adelaide. It was our aperitif at the Sydney Morning Herald subscribers’ event which I co-hosted with Katherine. Food was by Chinta Ria, wine by Brown Brothers and arguably the highlight was music by the Aston Martinis.
